Alex Dowsett

Alex Dowsett's 'Bloody Minded: My Life in Cycling' book launch event

From 18 Oct 23 7:00 PM to 18 Oct 23 9:00 PM

We are delighted to welcome Alex Dowsett as our latest Chiswick Cycling Nights guest. Alex is launching his new autobiography, Bloody Minded, and will be looking back on his 13 years as a pro cyclist in which he won stages of the Giro d'Italia, held the World Hour Record, won six British national time trial titles and raced with and against Bradley Wiggins, Chris Froome, Mark Cavendish and Lance Armstrong.

As well as showing us the golden age of British cycling from the inside, Alex will be sharing the challenges he has faced as the only top sportsperson in the world with haemophilia A, a condition in which falls can be fatal and which both blighted his young sporting life, and boosted his determination to succeed.

Alex will be in conversation with Michael Hutchinson - himself a 56-times British champion, Cycling Weekly columnist and a former guest at the George IV in his own right.

Tickets are £13, £10 concessions or £27 including a book (RRP: £20).
