Formed out of the dynamic rhythm section of the highly acclaimed Mississippi Swamp Dogs, The Hip Breakers exhilarating mix of jazz, blues and neo-soul features their own original take on both classic jazz standards and the songs of Steely Dan, Johnny Guitar Watson and Little Feat among others with more than a nod to the music of the infectious Deep South.

Featuring Paul Miller on keyboards and vocals, Dan Redding on guitar and Jono Lee on drums for this special show the Hip Breakers are joined by guest saxophonist Duncan Eagles, described by JazzWise “as fast becoming one of the one the UK’s most exciting players on the UK jazz scene”.

Recognised internationally for his work with UK band Partikel, Eagles has performed at prestigious festivals such as Love Supreme, New York’s Rochester Jazz Festival, China’s Wuhan Jazz Festival and the Vancouver Jazz Festival among others. With such a highly talented group of musicians you can be sure the recently formed Hip Breakers are guaranteed to put some funky jazz and more into the evening.
