The Connection is a collaboration of some of the UK’s best-known blues & soul artists. The band’s vocalist is festival favourite Paul Cox, (Paul Rogers, Gary Brooker, John Slaughter Blues Band), whose soulful approach to the blues has gained him a highly respected reputation as one of Britain’s finest Blues/Soul singers.
Together with the acclaimed bassist and band leader Pete Rees who has worked and toured worldwide with a vast array of well-known musicians including Gary Moore & Vic Martin, Mike Summerfield provides cutting edge guitar having gained a reputation amongst the cognoscenti as one of the best guitarists on the British scene today - Blodwyn Pig, Georgie Fame & William Bell among others.
Finally, the drum seat is filled by the popular London based drummer Wez Johnson, whose tour credits include Kirk Fletcher, Katie Bradley, David Knopfler and Robin Bibi among others.
The musical experience and energy of the four members of The Connection highlight some of the very best of the classic soul repertoire showcasing well known covers as well as new arrangements of numbers by much loved blues and soul artists.
